Peter Jones joined Dragon's Den in its first episode and remains a Dragon in 2026.
Jones has been part of the British panel since the programme began in 2005. He is an entrepreneur and investor whose business interests have included telecommunications, technology, retail and leisure. On the programme, he evaluates entrepreneurs' proposals and may offer capital for an agreed share of a company.
The wording distinguishes Jones from later Dragons. Steven Bartlett joined in 2021, while Sara Davies joined in 2019, so neither was present when the series launched. Deborah Meaden and Touker Suleyman also became prominent members of the panel, but Peter Jones is the original investor still associated with the programme in 2026.
