Tej Lalvani joined the Dragon's Den investor panel in series 15, first broadcast in 2017.
Lalvani is a British entrepreneur best known as chief executive of Vitabiotics, the health-supplement company founded by his father, Kartar Lalvani. His experience in consumer products and brand development shaped the commercial perspective he brought to the programme.
He became one of the Dragons during the period when the panel was regularly refreshed with new investors. Dragon's Den has never had a permanently unchanged cast: investors have left, returned or been replaced across different series.
Series numbers can cause confusion because the programme's broadcast history spans many years and different Dragons joined at different points. Tej Lalvani's relevant milestone is series 15 in 2017; Steven Bartlett, for example, belongs to a much later panel change.
