Peter Jones is the only original panel member still appearing regularly on the British series Dragon's Den.
The first British panel included Peter Jones, Duncan Bannatyne, Rachel Elnaugh, Doug Richard and Simon Woodroffe. Jones stayed with the programme as other original investors departed and later dragons joined the panel.
Jones is an entrepreneur and investor whose business interests have included technology, communications and consumer ventures. His long tenure made him one of the defining figures of the British format, and viewers often associate his direct questioning with the programme's investment style.
The wording matters: several well-known dragons have appeared for multiple series, but they were not all members of the original panel. Deborah Meaden, for example, became a major long-term investor after joining later. The original-panel distinction is therefore different from simply asking which investor has been on the show for a long time.
