Sara Davies is the founder of the craft retailer Crafter's Companion.
Davies established Crafter's Companion while she was a student, developing a product designed to help crafters make envelopes. The business grew into an international craft-supplies company selling tools, materials and related products through retail and online channels.
She joined the Dragon's Den panel in 2019, becoming one of the programme’s later regular investors. Her expertise is particularly connected with product development, manufacturing, retail and direct-to-consumer sales.
Crafter's Companion is not the same as a television product merely pitched on the programme. It is Davies’s own company and predates her regular role as a dragon. Her background also distinguishes her from Deborah Meaden and Kelly Hoppen, whose businesses and areas of expertise are different.
