Hilary Devey is the Dragon's Den investor associated with the British business group Pall-Ex.
Pall-Ex is a palletised freight distribution network serving businesses that need to move pallet loads. Devey founded the company in 1996 after identifying a need for coordinated transport between independent hauliers and regional distribution operations.
Her logistics career made her one of the more distinctive investors on Dragon's Den. Devey joined the BBC programme in 2011 and remained on the panel for two series before leaving in 2012.
Pall-Ex is not a consumer parcel-delivery brand in the usual sense. It focuses on freight and pallet distribution, which is why Devey’s business background differs from Dragons known primarily for retail, fashion or food investments. Her later television work included presenting the business programme The Intern.
