Kelly Hoppen is the professional interior designer who founded Kelly Hoppen Interiors.
Hoppen began her interior-design career as a teenager and developed a style associated with clean lines, neutral colours and a blend of contemporary and East Asian influences. Kelly Hoppen Interiors became the business name through which she delivered residential and commercial design work and built a wider lifestyle brand.
She joined Dragon's Den as an investor in 2013. Her background gave the panel a Dragon whose principal expertise was design, luxury products and brand presentation rather than conventional retail or finance alone.
The company name can cause confusion because Hoppen has also licensed products, written books and appeared on design programmes. Those activities are connected to her public brand but are not interchangeable with the original interior-design business. Her Dragon's Den role lasted for several series before she left the regular panel.
