Peter Jones has appeared in every series of the British Dragon's Den since the programme launched.
Jones is a British entrepreneur and investor whose business interests have included mobile phones, technology and leisure. He joined the original panel and remained a constant presence as the investor line-up changed around him. His height and distinctive on-screen style also made him one of the most recognisable figures in the programme.
The other suggested names have all been important dragons but did not appear in every series from the beginning. Theo Paphitis joined the original era but later left, while Deborah Meaden and Duncan Bannatyne entered the programme after the launch. The distinction is therefore continuous participation from series one, rather than simply being a long-serving or frequently returning investor.
