Peter Jones is the Dragons' Den investor who has appeared from the British programme's first series onward.
Jones is a British entrepreneur and businessman who became one of the original investors on the BBC version of Dragons' Den. His business interests have included telecommunications, technology, media, and retail, giving him a broad background for evaluating the companies presented on the show.
He is notable for being the only original Dragon to remain a regular member of the panel across the programme’s long run. Other early investors, including Duncan Bannatyne and Deborah Meaden, later left or joined at different points, so the panel’s composition has changed substantially over time.
Viewers sometimes confuse “original Dragon” with “longest-serving Dragon.” Several investors appeared early in the programme’s history, but Jones is the enduring original member. His tall stature, dark suits, and direct questioning have also made him one of the show’s most recognisable figures.
