Sara Davies, founder of Crafter's Companion, joined the British Dragon's Den panel in 2019.
Davies established Crafter's Companion while she was a student at the University of York. The company developed products and tools for crafters, including equipment used in papercraft and related hobbies, and grew into an international business.
Her appointment brought a specialist in consumer products, online retail and direct-to-consumer business to the programme. Those areas are especially relevant to many den pitches because entrepreneurs often need help with manufacturing, distribution, marketing and scaling.
Sara Davies is sometimes confused with Deborah Meaden because both are prominent female investors on the programme. She is also distinct from Jenny Campbell, who served as a dragon before Davies. The key identifying fact is the connection with Crafter's Companion, the company Davies founded.
