Nick Jenkins founded the personalised greeting-card website Moonpig before becoming a Dragon on the British television programme Dragons' Den.
Jenkins launched Moonpig in 2000 after identifying an opportunity for customers to create personalised greeting cards online. The service became known for allowing buyers to add names, photographs and custom messages to cards, helping distinguish it from conventional card retailers.
Jenkins appeared as a Dragon in the British series from 2015 to 2018. His background differed from that of several longer-serving investors because his main success came from building an internet business rather than from traditional retail or manufacturing.
Moonpig is sometimes confused with other online greeting-card companies, but its founder was Jenkins. The business later expanded beyond cards into personalised gifts and flowers, while the Dragons' Den investor associated with it remained Nick Jenkins.
