Which Dragon's Den investor founded the craft business Not on the High Street?

The story behind the answer

Holly Tucker founded the craft and gift marketplace Not on the High Street.

Tucker co-founded the company with Sophie Cornish in 2006. The website was designed as an online marketplace for distinctive products from smaller creative businesses, giving independent designers a route to customers beyond traditional high-street retail.

Tucker later became a Dragon on the British programme, bringing experience from e-commerce, product discovery and small-business development. Her work has also included campaigning for and supporting small firms in the United Kingdom.

Not on the High Street is sometimes mistaken for a conventional retailer that designs and manufactures every product itself. Its marketplace model means that many independent partner businesses create and supply the products sold through the platform. The name describes its original proposition: finding unusual goods outside standard high-street chains.
