Which Dragon's Den investor co-founded the hotel group YOTEL?
Answer
Simon Woodroffe
Answer
Simon Woodroffe
Simon Woodroffe co-founded the hotel group YOTEL.
Woodroffe is an entrepreneur best known for creating the YO! brand. After establishing the YO! Sushi restaurant concept, he helped develop YOTEL, a hotel business designed around compact, efficiently arranged rooms and features inspired partly by premium airline cabins.
YOTEL's first property opened at London Gatwick Airport in 2007. The airport-hotel setting suited the brand's emphasis on convenient stays, automated services and short, practical visits. The group later expanded to other cities and transport hubs.
Woodroffe appeared as an investor on Dragon's Den, but YOTEL was not created through the television programme. That distinction helps separate his role as a Dragon from his earlier entrepreneurial work in hospitality and food.
