Which Dragon’s Den investor co-founded the gift-experience company Red Letter Days?

Rachel Elnaugh co-founded the gift-experience company Red Letter Days before appearing as a Dragon’s Den investor.

Red Letter Days offered experience-based gifts, such as activities and leisure experiences, rather than conventional physical presents. Elnaugh built the business with her husband, Peter Jones, and it became one of the best-known early British experience-gift companies.

Elnaugh appeared as an original Dragon on the BBC’s first series in 2005. The business later encountered financial difficulties and entered administration in 2005. This history is why Red Letter Days is often mentioned alongside Elnaugh’s Dragon’s Den career, although it should not be confused with Peter Jones’s later acquisition of the company’s assets.
