Steven Bartlett became the youngest person to join the UK Dragons' Den panel when he arrived in 2022.
Bartlett joined the programme for its twentieth series, which aired in 2023. He was born in 1992, making him notably younger than the established businesspeople who had previously occupied the investor chairs.
Before television, Bartlett co-founded the social-media marketing agency Social Chain with Dominic McGregor. He later became known for podcasting, investing and business commentary, especially through The Diary of a CEO.
The distinction concerns age at the time he joined the UK panel, not the youngest entrepreneur ever to pitch in the Den. Entrepreneurs appearing on the show have varied widely in age, while the question asks specifically about the investors. Bartlett's appointment therefore marked a generational change in the panel.
