Which Dragon's Den investor became associated with the fashion retailer Ghost?

The story behind the answer

Touker Suleyman became associated with the fashion retailer Ghost after acquiring a majority stake in the company.

Ghost was founded in 1984 by Tanya Sarne and became known for fluid, draped clothing and stretch fabrics. Suleyman’s involvement came later, when his investment group bought control of the fashion business. The deal connected his experience in textiles and manufacturing with a recognisable British fashion label.

This fact is distinct from the question of which fashion brand Suleyman owns, because ownership and association can be described at different points in a company’s history. Ghost’s founders, later shareholders and operating companies should not automatically be treated as the same entity.

Suleyman joined Dragon's Den as an investor with a background in fashion and textiles. His clothing interests therefore predate his television appearances and are not limited to products pitched in the Den.
