Susie Ma created the skincare brand Tropic Skincare.
Susie Ma founded Tropic Skincare, a British beauty company that sells skincare and cosmetics through a direct-selling model. She first developed products while still young and later grew the venture into a substantial business with a network of ambassadors and customers.
Ma appeared on Dragon's Den and secured investment from Lord Alan Sugar. That deal helped the company develop its operations and distribution while retaining its focus on plant-based beauty products and direct selling.
Tropic Skincare is not the same business as The Body Shop, Lush or Neal's Yard Remedies, although all operate in the broader ethical or natural-beauty space. Ma is also sometimes remembered mainly for her television appearance, but her significance comes from building a long-running beauty brand beyond the pitch itself.
