Rob Law created the children's ride-on suitcase brand Trunki after presenting the idea on Dragon's Den.
Trunki is a hard-shell children's suitcase designed so that a child can sit on it and ride while travelling. Industrial designer Rob Law developed the product and pitched it on the BBC programme in 2006. The idea became one of the show's best-known examples of a product that received substantial public attention despite the outcome of its pitch.
The business grew after the television appearance and Trunki products were sold internationally. The suitcase's distinctive shape and child-focused design helped separate it from ordinary wheeled luggage.
Trunki is often remembered alongside the Tangle Teezer and Reggae Reggae Sauce as a famous Dragon's Den product, but the entrepreneurs are different. Rob Law created Trunki; Shaun Pulfrey created Tangle Teezer; and Levi Roots presented Reggae Reggae Sauce.
