Peter Jones was the only original member still on Britain's Dragon's Den panel in 2024.
Jones was part of the original British panel when Dragon's Den launched in 2005. The other original Dragons—Duncan Bannatyne, Theo Paphitis, Rachel Elnaugh and Doug Richard—eventually left the programme, while Jones continued through successive panel changes.
His long tenure makes him the programme's most enduring Dragon. Jones is a British entrepreneur and investor with interests spanning technology, media, retail and property. His continuing presence also links the current programme to its first series.
The wording “original member” refers to the launch panel, not to the first Dragon to make a particular investment. Deborah Meaden, for example, became a Dragon after the original line-up, while Peter Jones remained associated with the show from its beginning.
