Which Dragon was the only original investor to remain on every main series of BBC's Dragon's Den?

The story behind the answer

Peter Jones was the only original investor to remain on every main series of BBC's Dragon's Den.

Jones joined the original panel when the British series launched in 2005, alongside Duncan Bannatyne, Theo Paphitis, Rachel Elnaugh and Doug Richard. Unlike the other members of that first panel, Jones continued through later changes to the cast and became a defining presence in the programme.

His business background includes interests in technology, media, retail and leisure. On the show, he is particularly associated with examining valuation, scalability and the commercial potential of a founder's plan.

The wording concerns the regular main series rather than every special appearance or every version of the franchise. Other original Dragons left at different points: Elnaugh departed after the second series, Richard after the fourth, and Paphitis after the eighth. Bannatyne also later left the regular panel.
