Peter Jones was the only original investor still appearing on Dragon's Den in the 2020s.
Jones is a British entrepreneur and investor whose interests have included technology, media, telecommunications and consumer businesses. He was part of the original five-Dragon panel when the British programme launched in 2005, alongside Duncan Bannatyne, Rachel Elnaugh, Theo Paphitis and Doug Richard.
The other original investors eventually left the regular panel, while Jones continued returning as a Dragon through later series. His longevity makes him the clearest link between the launch-era programme and its modern line-ups. It does not mean he was the only original Dragon to return for occasional appearances; the key point is his continuing regular role.
Some viewers choose Duncan Bannatyne because he was also a memorable early investor, or Theo Paphitis because of his long business career. Both, however, departed the main panel before the 2020s.
