Peter Jones was the only investor from the original British Dragons' Den panel to remain in the main cast continuously through 2023.
Jones is a British entrepreneur and investor who joined the original panel when the UK series launched in 2005. His business interests have included technology, consumer brands, retail and leisure, giving him a broad range of experience when assessing pitches.
The wording matters because the original panel contained several investors, but the others did not remain regular main-panel Dragons for the same uninterrupted period. Panel membership changed as investors departed, returned as guest Dragons or appeared in other roles. This makes “original Dragon” and “longest continuous regular Dragon” different claims.
Jones has also appeared in other business and television projects, so his Dragons' Den role is only one part of his public career. A televised offer, moreover, is not automatically a completed investment; deals can change or fail during later checks.
