Which Dragon was the first woman to appear on the British Dragons' Den panel?

Rachel Elnaugh was the first woman to appear on the British Dragons' Den panel.

Elnaugh was an entrepreneur best known for founding Red Letter Days, a company selling experience gifts such as driving days, flights and other activities. Her retail and marketing background made her a natural fit for a programme centred on consumer businesses and investment decisions.

She was one of the original Dragons when the British series began in 2005. Her tenure was relatively brief compared with some later panel members, but her place in the programme's history is significant because she was its first female Dragon.

Elnaugh is sometimes confused with Deborah Meaden, who became the programme's more enduring female investor after joining later. Both are prominent women associated with the show, but Elnaugh held the first-panel distinction.
