Rachel Elnaugh was one of the five original investors when the UK series Dragon's Den launched in 2005.
The launch panel consisted of Rachel Elnaugh, Duncan Bannatyne, Peter Jones, Theo Paphitis and Doug Richard. Elnaugh was known for founding Red Letter Days, a company selling experience gifts, and became one of the programme's first female Dragons.
She left the regular panel after the second series. Deborah Meaden joined later, in the third series, so she was not part of the original five. Kelly Hoppen joined much later and is associated with a newer era of the programme.
The original panel is useful for distinguishing the show's launch lineup from later combinations of investors. Dragon's Den has changed its panel repeatedly over the years.
