Peter Jones was associated with the company Phones International Group before joining Dragons' Den.
Phones International Group was a telecommunications business founded by Jones. His career has included interests in technology, media, retail and consumer products, which helped establish him as a prominent British entrepreneur before his television role.
Jones joined the original Dragons' Den panel in 2005 and is the only investor from that launch panel to have appeared continuously. Phones International Group should not be confused with the Carphone Warehouse, a separate telecommunications retailer founded by Charles Dunstone and Julian Dunkerton. The two businesses operated in the same broad mobile-communications sector, which can lead to mistaken attributions.
