Which Dragon replaced Rachel Elnaugh in the UK series of Dragon's Den?

Deborah Meaden replaced Rachel Elnaugh in the UK series of Dragon's Den.

Meaden joined the programme in its third series, taking a seat after Elnaugh's departure. She was already known as a businesswoman and investor, with experience that included family enterprises, leisure businesses, and travel-related companies. Her direct questioning and focus on commercial numbers became a prominent part of the show's later identity.

Rachel Elnaugh was one of the original Dragons, so the change marked an early transition in the panel. Dragon's Den has since had several changes of investor, but each replacement alters the balance of industries, personalities, and negotiating styles in the room.

This fact is often confused with later appointments such as Kelly Hoppen or Sara Davies. Those entrepreneurs joined during different eras. Meaden's arrival is specifically linked with the replacement of the original Dragon Rachel Elnaugh.
