Which Dragon received an MBE in 2009 for services to interior design?

Kelly Hoppen received an MBE in 2009 for services to interior design.

Hoppen is a British interior designer whose style is associated with clean lines, neutral colours and a blend of eastern and western design influences. Her work has included residential, commercial and transport-related interiors, and she has written books about design and home decoration.

The Member of the Order of the British Empire award recognised her contribution to interior design. The honour is commonly abbreviated to MBE and is announced as part of the British honours system. It is separate from her later television work as an investor on Dragons' Den.

People sometimes confuse an MBE with a knighthood or with a business award. An MBE is a specific level of appointment within the Order of the British Empire. Hoppen's 2009 honour was for services to interior design, not for her role on television.
