Kelly Hoppen founded the interior-design brand Kelly Hoppen Interiors and later appeared as a Dragon on BBC's Dragon's Den.
Hoppen established her interior-design practice as a teenager and developed a style associated with clean lines, neutral colours and a blend of Eastern and Western design influences. Her work expanded from private interiors into hotels, aircraft, products and publishing.
She joined the BBC panel in 2013 and brought a design-focused perspective to the programme. In pitches involving consumer products, branding and presentation, her professional experience made visual identity and usability especially relevant considerations.
Kelly Hoppen Interiors is her design business, whereas the Dragon's Den investments she made on television were separate deals with individual entrepreneurs. A television appearance therefore does not mean that every pitched product became part of her own design brand.
