Which Dragon joined the UK series Dragon's Den in its second series?

Theo Paphitis joined the UK series Dragon's Den in its second series. He became one of the programme’s most recognisable investors after arriving following the original launch panel.

Paphitis is a British retail entrepreneur. His business career has included involvement with major retail brands, and his experience in selling, branding and commercial expansion shaped the advice he gave to contestants.

The timing is important because not every well-known Dragon appeared at the same point. Rachel Elnaugh, Peter Jones, Duncan Bannatyne, Simon Woodroffe and Doug Richard formed the initial panel. Deborah Meaden joined later, while other investors such as Kelly Hoppen and Sara Davies belong to still later line-ups.

Paphitis’s arrival helped broaden the panel’s retail expertise. Dragon's Den does not use a permanent cast in the way a scripted series does; investors can leave, return or be replaced, making series-by-series chronology useful when identifying them.
