Sara Davies joined the UK programme Dragons' Den in 2019 after founding the craft business Crafter's Companion.
Davies created Crafter's Companion in 2005 while she was a student at the University of York. The business began with a product designed to help crafters make envelopes and expanded into a supplier of crafting tools, materials and equipment.
She joined Dragons' Den for the seventeenth series, becoming one of the programme's investors with direct experience of building a product-led company. Her background differs from Dragons who primarily became known through finance, property or fashion.
The business name is written Crafter's Companion, with an apostrophe. It should not be confused with the separate television role of a “companion” in Doctor Who, despite the shared word.
