Steven Bartlett became a dragon on Dragon's Den in 2022 as the show's youngest-ever investor.
Bartlett joined the British panel for the twentieth series, which began broadcasting in 2023 after the programme announced his appointment in 2022. He was born in Botswana in 1992 and became known for co-founding the social-media marketing company Social Chain. His technology and digital-business background added a newer entrepreneurial profile to a panel traditionally associated with retail, manufacturing, property and consumer brands.
The phrase “youngest-ever investor” refers to his age when he joined the panel, not to the age of the entrepreneurs appearing in the den. It is also distinct from being the youngest contestant or youngest person to receive an offer.
Bartlett later became widely recognised for The Diary of a CEO podcast, but that podcast is separate from his Dragon's Den role.
