Sara Davies joined Dragon's Den as a dragon in series 17, which aired in 2019.
Davies is the founder of Crafter's Companion, a business that began with a crafting tool she developed while studying at university. The company grew from a product aimed at making card-making easier into an international craft-supplies business. Her experience in product development, direct selling and retail made her a natural fit for the investment panel.
Her appointment followed several changes to the line-up and made her the first female dragon from the North East of England. The distinction is about her regional background and panel role, not about being the first woman ever to appear on the show.
Davies has remained associated with crafting, entrepreneurship and family business. Her presence also broadened the types of consumer products represented in the den.
