Sara Davies joined the UK Dragons' Den panel in 2019 as the founder of Crafter's Companion.
Davies founded Crafter's Companion as a teenager after developing a product that helped crafters make envelopes. The business grew from that early idea into an international craft-supplies company selling tools, materials and related products.
Her experience made her a particularly relevant investor for pitches involving hobbies, creative products, direct-to-consumer sales and demonstrations. She joined the programme in 2019, becoming one of the newer additions to a panel that had already seen many changes since the UK show began.
Crafter's Companion is not the name of Davies's role on television; it is the company she founded. This distinction helps separate the entrepreneur from the brand. Her appointment also followed the tenure of other women investors, including Deborah Meaden and Kelly Hoppen, rather than marking the first female Dragon.
