Touker Suleyman joined the UK Dragons' Den panel in 2015 after making his fortune in fashion retail.
Suleyman is a British-Turkish Cypriot businessman whose investments have included the shirt retailer Hawes & Curtis and the fashion brand Ghost. His business interests span retail, property and technology, but fashion has been central to his public profile.
He joined the programme during a period when the panel was changing significantly. His arrival followed the departure of some earlier investors and added another Dragon with experience in buying, rebuilding and scaling consumer brands.
Suleyman is sometimes confused with Theo Paphitis because both are retail-focused Dragons with backgrounds in fashion and high-street businesses. They are separate investors: Paphitis joined the programme in 2007, while Suleyman joined in 2015.
