Steven Bartlett joined the British show Dragon’s Den in series 19 as the founder of Social Chain.
Bartlett co-founded Social Chain, a social-media marketing agency, with Dominic McGregor in 2014. The company worked with brands and focused on digital communities, online content and social-media-led marketing. Bartlett’s background made him one of the youngest investors ever to appear as a Dragon on the British programme.
He joined the panel in series 19, which began airing in 2023. His appointment reflected the increasing importance of social platforms, digital branding and creator-led marketing in modern businesses seeking investment.
Bartlett is sometimes confused with Nick Jenkins because both Dragons are associated with technology and internet businesses. Jenkins founded Moonpig and joined in series 13, whereas Bartlett co-founded Social Chain and entered the programme six series later.
