Which Dragon joined the British Dragon's Den panel in 2011 after founding the Pall-Ex freight network?

The story behind the answer

Hilary Devey joined the British Dragon's Den panel in 2011 after founding the Pall-Ex freight network.

Devey was a businesswoman associated with transport and logistics. She founded Pall-Ex, a palletised freight distribution network, and used that experience as part of her authority as an investor on the programme. She joined Dragon's Den for its ninth series.

Pall-Ex was designed to connect independent hauliers through a shared distribution system, allowing freight to move across a coordinated network rather than relying only on one operator. That background gave Devey particular insight into supply chains, operations and the practical challenges faced by growing companies.

Devey's tenure on Dragon's Den was relatively brief compared with some long-serving Dragons. She later presented the Channel 4 business programme The Intern. Her name is also sometimes misspelled as “Hilary Devey” without the second e in the surname, but Devey is the standard spelling.
