Hilary Devey joined the British Dragon's Den panel in 2011.
Devey entered the programme during its ninth series, taking a place on the investor panel after establishing herself as a businesswoman and television personality. She was particularly associated with the freight and logistics company Pall-Ex, a palletised freight network that she founded in 1996.
Her business career also included publishing an autobiography, which helped broaden her public profile before and during her television work. On Dragon's Den, Devey was known for direct questioning and a focus on whether a proposal could scale commercially.
Devey's tenure is sometimes mixed up with those of other later Dragons, including Kelly Hoppen and Touker Suleyman. Those investors joined in different periods. Hilary Devey left the British series after its eleventh series and later presented other television programmes, including The Intern.
