Which Dragon joined the BBC show Dragon's Den in its third series in 2006?

The story behind the answer

Deborah Meaden joined the BBC show Dragon's Den in its third series in 2006.

Meaden became one of the programme's most recognisable investors. Before joining television, she built experience in business and investment, including work connected with family enterprises and leisure businesses. On the show, she became known for direct questions about sales, costs, ownership and the entrepreneur's ability to execute.

Her arrival followed the first two series and the departure of some members of the original panel. She remained part of the programme for many years, making her tenure much longer than that of several later Dragons.

The year matters because the panel was deliberately refreshed across the early series. Sara Davies, Kelly Hoppen and Jenny Campbell are also women who appeared as Dragons, but each joined in a later period and therefore cannot be the answer to this specific series-three question.
