Kelly Hoppen joined the BBC show Dragon's Den in 2013 after replacing Hilary Devey.
Hoppen is a British interior designer and businesswoman whose design work is associated with a minimalist style often described as East-meets-West. She brought a design and luxury-brand perspective to the Dragon's Den panel rather than the retail, property or technology backgrounds associated with several other investors.
Hilary Devey had joined the programme in 2012 and departed after one series. Hoppen then took the vacant Dragon position in 2013, appearing in the programme's eleventh series.
Hoppen's tenure lasted two series. She left the show in 2015, when the panel continued to evolve with additional investors. The succession is sometimes confused with later replacements, particularly because Dragon's Den has changed its panel frequently over its long broadcast history.
