Tej Lalvani joined the BBC series Dragon's Den in 2017, replacing departing Dragon Nick Jenkins.
Lalvani is a British businessman best known as chief executive of Vitabiotics, the family-owned company associated with health and nutritional supplements. His appointment added a younger investor with experience in consumer brands and international business.
Nick Jenkins, the founder of online language-learning company Moonpig, left the programme after appearing as a Dragon for two series. Lalvani then joined the established panel and remained part of the show for several years.
This change is sometimes mixed up with later panel appointments. Touker Suleyman joined earlier, while Steven Bartlett became a Dragon in 2022. The 2017 replacement specifically concerned Jenkins and Lalvani.
