Sara Davies joined Dragon's Den in 2019 after building the craft business Crafter's Companion.
Davies founded Crafter's Companion while she was a student at the University of York. The company began with a product designed to help crafters make envelopes, then developed into an international craft-supplies business selling tools, materials and creative products.
Her appointment brought a newer-generation entrepreneur to the panel and gave the programme a Dragon with direct experience of growing a product-led company from a small idea. She has also appeared in television and business media outside Dragon's Den.
The date is sometimes mixed up with the arrivals of other modern Dragons. Sara Davies joined in series 17, while investors such as Steven Bartlett arrived later. Her company and her television role are separate achievements, although both are central to her public profile.
