Which Dragon joined BBC's Dragons' Den in 2022 as its youngest-ever investor?
Answer
Steven Bartlett
Steven Bartlett joined BBC's Dragons' Den in 2022 as its youngest-ever Dragon.
Bartlett was born in Botswana in 1992 and became known as a technology entrepreneur, author and podcast host. He co-founded Social Chain, a social-media marketing company, with Dominic McGregor in 2014.
His appointment marked a generational change in the panel. Bartlett brought experience from digital marketing, online communities and creator-led businesses, areas that were increasingly relevant to entrepreneurs appearing in the Den.
The wording “youngest-ever” refers to his age when he joined the regular panel, not to the age of every entrepreneur who has pitched. He became part of the programme's continuing British version in 2022, alongside established investors such as Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden and Touker Suleyman.
