Kelly Hoppen joined BBC's Dragon's Den in 2013 after building a career in interior design.
Hoppen became known for a design style based on clean lines, neutral colours and a distinctive approach to residential and commercial interiors. Her design business led to books, products and wider media work before she appeared as a Dragon.
She joined the panel during a period when the programme was introducing investors with backgrounds outside traditional finance and retail. On the show, her expertise was particularly relevant to brands involving home products, design, lifestyle and presentation.
Kelly Hoppen is sometimes confused with Deborah Meaden because both became prominent female Dragons. Meaden joined much earlier, while Hoppen entered the series in 2013. Sara Davies and Jenny Campbell were also later additions to the panel.
