Which Dragon joined BBC's Dragons' Den for its second series?
Answer
Theo Paphitis
Answer
Theo Paphitis
Theo Paphitis joined BBC's Dragons' Den for its second series.
Paphitis entered the programme after the first series, replacing Simon Woodroffe on the investor panel. He was already a prominent British entrepreneur, particularly known for his involvement with retail businesses and for reviving the stationery chain Ryman.
His direct, commercially focused style made him one of the most recognisable Dragons of the show's early years. He remained a regular investor for several series before leaving the main panel.
The timing matters because several other well-known investors joined later. Deborah Meaden arrived in series three, while James Caan joined in series five. These different entry points are a common source of mix-ups when recalling the early line-up.
