Which Dragon is the longest-serving female investor on the British television show Dragon's Den?

The story behind the answer

Deborah Meaden is the longest-serving female investor on the British television show Dragon's Den.

Meaden joined the programme in 2006, becoming one of its most recognisable investors. She evaluates entrepreneurs by examining their products, financial figures, market prospects and proposed ownership deals.

Before becoming a television Dragon, Meaden built a career in business and investment. Her background included work in the leisure and hospitality sectors, giving her experience relevant to many of the businesses presented in the Den.

She is sometimes confused with later female Dragons such as Kelly Hoppen and Sara Davies. Those investors joined the panel after Meaden, while Meaden has remained associated with the programme for a substantially longer period.
