Peter Jones is the only original Dragon's Den investor who has remained on the panel since the programme began in 2005.
Jones joined the BBC show in its first series alongside other early investors including Duncan Bannatyne, Rachel Elnaugh and Theo Paphitis. Those original Dragons later left at different times, while Jones continued to appear across subsequent series.
He is known for investments in technology, communications, retail and consumer businesses. His tall stature and regular presence made him one of the programme's most recognisable Dragons, but his status as the sole continuously serving original investor is the key distinction.
This fact is sometimes confused with being the longest-serving Dragon overall: several early investors served for multiple series, but only Jones has remained from the launch panel.
