Peter Jones has appeared on the UK version of Dragons' Den since its first series.
Jones is a British entrepreneur and investor whose business interests have included technology, telecommunications, leisure and media. His long-running role on the programme made him one of its most recognisable investors.
The original panel also included Duncan Bannatyne, Rachel Elnaugh, Simon Woodroffe and Doug Richard. Several other prominent Dragons joined in later series, including Deborah Meaden and Theo Paphitis, which can make the original line-up easy to misremember.
Jones's television role involves assessing a venture's product, market, finances and proposed equity arrangement. A Dragon may offer all, part or none of the requested investment, depending on the negotiation.
