Peter Jones has appeared on every main UK series of Dragon's Den since the programme launched.
Jones joined the original investment panel in 2005 and became the sole remaining original Dragon after the other members of the initial lineup departed. His long tenure makes him the panel's most continuous presence.
The original Dragons included Jones, Duncan Bannatyne, Rachel Elnaugh, Simon Woodroffe and Peter Jones. Theo Paphitis joined the panel later, while Deborah Meaden became one of the programme's best-known returning investors after joining in the third series.
Jones is a British entrepreneur whose interests have included telecommunications, media and technology. His continuing role is sometimes confused with being the first Dragon to join, but the relevant distinction is that he is the original panel member who remained throughout the main UK run.
