Peter Jones has appeared as an investor on every main British series of Dragon's Den.
Jones is a British entrepreneur and investor whose business interests have included telecommunications, technology, media and retail. He joined the original investor panel when the BBC series began and remained a central figure as the panel changed around him.
His continuity makes him distinct from several other famous Dragons. Theo Paphitis and Duncan Bannatyne were important early investors but later left the programme, while newer investors joined in subsequent series. Jones is also recognisable for his tall stature and for appearing in the chair at the end of the original panel.
The programme uses the word Dragon as a branding term for its investors. It does not mean that all of them have been present in every series; the panel has changed repeatedly over the show's run.
