Peter Jones has appeared as a continuous investor on the British series Dragon's Den since its 2005 launch.
Jones was one of the original dragons when the BBC programme began. His business interests have included technology, telecommunications, retail and media, giving him a broad background for assessing early-stage companies.
The original investor panel changed substantially over the years. Duncan Bannatyne, Rachel Elnaugh, Simon Woodroffe and Doug Richard were among the initial dragons, but they did not all remain on the programme. Jones became the enduring member of the original panel.
This fact is about continuous participation, not necessarily the number of deals made or the amount invested. Several other dragons have had long tenures, but Jones is the investor associated with every series from the beginning.
