Peter Jones founded the telecommunications company Phones International Group.
Phones International Group was established by Jones in 1998 and became an important part of his business career. The company operated in the mobile-phone and telecommunications sector, an area that helped establish Jones as a technology-focused entrepreneur before his long television career.
Jones's portfolio has extended beyond telecommunications. His interests have included retail, property, media and leisure, which helps explain why he can assess pitches from very different industries on Dragon's Den.
The company should not be confused with Phones 4u, another well-known British mobile-phone retailer. Phones International Group was Jones's own telecommunications business, while the question asks specifically for the Dragon who founded it. That makes Peter Jones the single correct answer.
